Announcing the Publication of the Spring 2012 Volume of The Colorado Historian

We are pleased to announce the publication of The Colorado Historian! This year’s volume represents some of the best undergraduate history work undertaken during the 2011-2012 school year at the University of Colorado at Boulder. We would like to thank the History Department, our advisors, and, most of all, our contributors. Calling for Submissions for “The Colorado Historian”

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting submissions for “The Colorado Historian,” to be published electronically in May 2012!

If you are interested in submitting a paper, please review the information below.

Criteria:

  • Must be a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder
  • Minimum of 2000 words
  • Topic must be of a historical nature but does not have to be from a history class
  • Preference given to original research
  • Although it can be a paper from a class, it should not sound like a response to a prompt
  • It can be from a larger work, such as an honors thesis, but it must make a substantiated argument on its own
  • Submissions should include full citations and bibliographies; Chicago style is preferred but not necessary for the initial submission
  • Email submissions in .doc or .pdf format to cuhistoryclub@colorado.edu

  • Looks good on resumes
  • Great preparation for graduate school
  • Offers a chance to be published in a peer-reviewed journal
  • All papers submitted will receive feedback
  • Get recognition for your work

Deadline: Sunday, April 1st at midnight

  • In order to give the editors enough time to give quality feedback, we ask that students submit papers by Sunday, March 18th
